Anissa Lawrence
Lead Instructor, The Edge Yoga

With nearly a decade of experience in yoga, mobility, and mindful movement, Anissa combines discipline and compassion to create inclusive spaces at Edge Yoga where students can build strength, flexibility, and focus both on and off the mat.
Her journey began with a deep belief in yoga as a tool for resilience, restoring the body, sharpening the mind, and strengthening the spirit. Since 2016, she has earned a 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification, along with additional qualifications in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Accessible Yoga, Yin Yoga, Wall Yoga, and as a NASM Certified Stretch & Flexibility Coach. Anissa is also the founder of the MindBody Release Method™, a unique approach blending yoga, assisted stretching, fascia release, and nervous system regulation, and the co-creator of MindShakers® Dice, a mindfulness-based self-reflection tool.

At Edge Yoga, Anissa’s classes focus on balance, agility, and recovery while fostering mental clarity and presence under pressure. She guides each session with compassion, precision, and a deep respect for each student’s individual journey, encouraging movement with curiosity and care. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced practitioner, Anissa is dedicated to helping you feel inspired, grounded, and confident on your yoga path.

Outside the studio, Anissa enjoys time with her family, creating wellness tools, and drawing inspiration from both community connection and quiet reflection.
